An amused customer has taken to social media to share her astonishment at what she was served when she paid $5 for a sandwich at a cafe.
Looking inside the sandwich, the New Zealand woman discovered two tiny strips of ham, placed strategically to make the sandwich look full upon first glance.
Taking to a Facebook group on Tuesday, the woman shared a picture of the sandwich in question, as social media users quickly weighed in.

Many were shocked by the woman's shock discovery, with some describing it as 'disgraceful', 'rip off', and 'terrible', while others joked: 'cost savings at its best'.
'Butter sandwich with a bit of ham on the side,' one joked.
One commented: 'Very sneaky - place the strip at the front of the sandwich to give the impression the rest of the sandwich also has ham.'
Another said: 'Maybe someone was just having a bad day and was extremely tired.'
Many urged the woman to return to the cafe with the sandwich and demand a refund.
