Thiruvananthapuram: Doctors have advised two weeks’ rest for Vaikom
MLA C K Asha who had a fall in the assembly after she tripped over her saree. During the fall, her knee hit a nearby chair.
Following the incident, Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan suspended the proceedings of the House for some time and called in the doctors on duty at the assembly complex.
After being given first aid, the MLA was taken to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for further medical care. The doctors said she had a swelling on the knee due to the fall.
The doctors said there was a ligament injury and hence the MLA has been advised to take rest for two weeks. The MLA later returned to the legislators’ hostel.
