Ahmedabad: Teenage girl molested by neighbour's son

AHMEDABAD: The mother of a 13-year-old girl who is a student of Class 8, has filed a complaint with Shaherkotda police stating that her daughter was molested by their neighbour's son on Saturday evening.
The complainant, who works as a security person with AMC-run Shardaben hospital, stated that the accused - Hasmukh Tirgar, aged around 18, molested her daughter when she was alone at their home in Saraspur area of the city.
"At around 7.15pm on Saturday evening, I got a call from my neighbours who told me to rush home immediately as my daughter had been molested. When I reached home, my other neighbours were present at the home consoling my daughter who was very scared," said the complainant in the FIR.
"When I asked my daughter what had happened to her, she told me that our neighbour's son had sneaked into our house. He then stood behind my daughter and started groping. As she was shocked with that act, she started screaming for help and immediately ran outside house," said the complainant.
The 13-year-old girl then called up her father who too rushed home. Later, the girl's parents approached Shaherkotda police and filed a complaint of molestation, trespassing along with the charges of POCSO (Protection of Children against Sexual Offences) act.
Investigating officer and inspector of Shaherkotda police, B D Gamar said he could not begin a probe into the case as he was busy in bandobast for upcoming Rath Yatra event.
