'Your mum is going crazy': Family's desperate message after backpacker vanishes in Perth
The family of a German backpacker last seen in Perth three days ago have issued a desperate message to him.
Andreas Karl Wacker, 28, was last seen filling up his car at a petrol station in Rockingham, just before 7pm on Wednesday.
Earlier that day, just before 12:30pm, he was seen at a gym in Cockburn and he had left his belongings at a friend's house in Yangebup.
Mr Wacker has been on a working holiday in WA since mid-2018 and was recently living and working in Nannup.
It is for this reason police believe he may have been travelling in the South West area when he vanished.
His family said they knew something was wrong when he didn't respond to birthday messages last week.
His aunty, Andra Malburg, said Mr Wacker kept in regular contact with his family while overseas.
"Please contact your mum, contact any of us," she said.
"Your mum is going crazy, she hasn't been sleeping. She's worried sick, we're all worried sick."
Relatives believe he is without his phone, wallet and passport.
On Saturday, Mr Wacker swapped the car he was driving from a white Nissan Pathfinder with camping gear on the roof rack, to a silver 2000 model Holden Rodeo utility, registration 1BGI 858.
He was last seen wearing brown, maroon, yellow and orange coloured check shirt made of cheesecloth material.
He speaks some English.
Anybody who sees Mr Wacker is urged to contact police on 131 444.
