Now, pay more to visit Lucknow zoo

LUCKNOW: Visiting Lucknow zoo will burn a deeper hole in your pocket. From July 1 onwards entry ticket will cost at least 30% more. This is after six years that Lucknow zoo consultative committee has decided to charge visitors more for entry and to board the toy train.
The package ticket, which includes price of entry ticket and ticket to board the toy train, will cost Rs 100 for an adult (who is more than 12 years old) and Rs 50 for a child aged between five years to 12 years.
The decision to increase the price of tickets has been taken in accordance with the fact that Lucknow zoo is a trust which meets salary, allowances and pension expenses of its staff through its earnings, said director RK Singh.
The price of other tickets remains unchanged.
