'Article 15': Screening in Roorkee banned due to law and order concerns

While Ayushmann Khurrana starrer 'Article 15' has been getting all love and praises for the actor's performance, the film has also been a target of backlash from certain communities across the country. The civic administration of Roorkee in Uttarakhand banned the film's screening due to law and order concerns. The SDM issued orders to RR Cinema – the only theatre in Roorkee screening the film – to cancel its shows and enforce the ban. The film which is loosely based on caste-based discrimination reportedly rattled several organisations who claimed it shows their community in poor light.
