Carroll, 37, has been a journalist for 16 years, spending the last eight years at Crain Communications Inc., Automotive News' parent company. At Crain, he was assistant managing editor and video editor for Plastics News and managing editor for Waste & Recycling News. Carroll previously worked for C&G Newspapers and the Huron Daily Tribune. He is a graduate of Adrian College.
