Heavy downpour in Mumbai, waterlogging in many areas

MUMBAI: The city woke up to heavy rains on Monday leading to waterlogging in many parts.
Waterlogging was witnessed in parts of Sion, Dadar, King Circle and Bandra as well. Traffic movement along arterial Dr BA Road also slowed down.

Weathermen said that intense rainfall in Mumbai and around North Konkan for last one hour was due to a circulation over Gujarat and adjoining Surashtra. The city also witnessed gusty winds.
The rainfall recorded till 6am on Monday by BMC's automatic weather stations in the city area was 91.22mm, eastern suburbs 78.11mm and western suburbs 55.59mm.
