Lenovo-owned Motorola has received certification from the Federal Communications Commission for an upcoming smartphone with model number XT2025. The listing on the website suggests that the phone will arrive with entry-level specifications. While the name of the device hasn’t been confirmed by the certification, it is being speculated to be the budget Moto E6 smartphone. The phone could arrive as the successor to the last year’s Moto E5.

The FCC certification of the alleged Motorola Moto E6 suggests that the phone will have dimensions of 73 x 153 x 163mm. This indicates that the handset will not be more than 6.41-inch in size or could have a screen smaller than 6-inch if the bezels are too thick. The certification suggests that the handset will have two RAM and storage variants – 2GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. The device will arrive with a 3,000mAh battery that will support up to 10W charging and has been listed with single-band 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and dual-SIM support. Sadly, the listing hasn’t revealed anything else about the device.

According to earlier leaks, the Moto E6 could arrive with a 5.45-inch display bearing a resolution of 720 x 1,440 pixels. The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. The device is said to offer a 13-megapixel primary camera at the rear and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter, which both will offer f/2.0 aperture.

Design-wise, the Motorola Moto E6 is expected to offer an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone will be offered with a plastic body and a single primary camera at the back, which will be placed at the top-left corner. The handset is expected to have a 3.5mm headphone socket and miss out on the fingerprint sensor.

Unfortunately, there’s no word at the moment regarding when exactly Motorola is planning to release the Moto E6. However, since the handset has been certified by FCC, we expect it to launch very soon in the near future.
