National Lok Adalat across all courts of state on July 13

Nagpur: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) will be organizing the National Lok Adalat on July 13 across all courts in Maharashtra.
The objective is to reduce huge pendency by resolving old cases. “Every day new and more important cases are registered in courts, causing hindrance to solving previous cases,” the DLSA said in a statement.
Principal district and sessions judge and DLSA chairman, AJ Mantri, district judge and chairman of Lok Adalat monitoring committee, VB Kulkarni, and DLSA secretary DY Kale have appealed to all the litigants and justice seekers concerned to get their cases settled.

Cases, including criminal compoundable, Negotiable Instrument Act, bank recovery, motor accident claims, family, labour, land acquisition, revenue, water and electricity disputes will be heard during the event. The litigants can contact DLSA office on the sixth floor of district court premises for further information.
The DLSA is planning for pre-negotiation sessions in various districts in order to reduce the time of litigation. A massive awareness campaign was undertaken across various districts for settlement of disputes. Posters and banners have been displayed at public spaces such as police stations, revenue departments and court premises to spread awareness about the campaign.
