Kedarnath visit was a chance to meet myself: PM Modi

NEW DELHI: The time he spent in meditation at Kedarnath after the elections concluded was an opportunity to “meet himself” after the heat and dust of polling was over, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
In his first Mann ki Baat after re-election, he said the radio talk was not the platform to speak on his Kedranath sojourn but promised he would answer the large volume of questions he has recieved.

“To tell the truth, it was an opportunity to meet myself (mujh ko mujh se milne ka avsar tha),” he said, adding that time spent in seclusion helped him think out matters with clarity. He has previously said that the upper reaches of Uttarakhand have been a favourite area to visit to find inspiration for him over the years.
The PM said he had missed the interaction over the talk programme which he noted kept generating positive thoughts and actions. “I cannot recall any instance where someone has asked for something personally,” he said. Mann ki Baat gives him ideas and helps him frame ideas for governance, he said. The reactions and inputs had convinced him that the country was receptive to change, he added.
