Firefighters say what they thought was a fire on Hope Mountain earlier was controlled burning.

Breakwater rescue

Two people have been rescued after getting trapped on breakwater at Rhos on Sea beach.

Llandudno Coastguard Rescue Team and the town's inshore lifeboat after the pair became stranded by the tide just after 9pm this evening.

A mayor has praised the “dignity, respect and emotion” shown by the community at the packed-out funeral of “immensely liked” teenager, Olivia Alkir today.

The 17-year-old was laid to rest at a ceremony attended by hundreds this morning.

A Youtuber who went inside the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone has shared shocking footage from inside the now uninhabitable area.

Three decades on from the worst nuclear reactor accident in history, full-time vlogger Simon Wilson went inside the abandoned zone in his latest youtube video.

Firefighters were called to a one-car crash in Bryn Gosol Road, Llanddudno just after 6.30pm today.

They made the vehicle safe.

No one was injured.

Flat fire

Cooking left unattended sparked a flat fire in Colwyn Bay.

Firefighters were called to converted flats on Greenfield Road at 5.40pm this evening.

The fire was confined to the hob and extractor fan.

No one was injured.

A customer has criticised a pub on TripAdvisor for not immediately clearing away a dirty nappy that was left on a table by a mum who changed her baby in front of diners.

Slow traffic due to earlier broken down car towing a caravan on A55 North Wales Expressway Eastbound from J12 Tal Y Bont Interchange to J13 Station Road (Abergwyngregyn). Congestion to J11 (Llandygai / Bethesda). All lanes have been re-opened.
Lane one was blocked to allow the caravan get its tyre changed. All lanes re-opened at around 16:55.
