MYSURU: A minor road accident that triggered an argument between two youth ended with the murder of one in Mysuru on Saturday.
Sunil, 35, who runs a puja material shop in
Devaraja Market and a resident of
Gundurao Nagar, was murdered allegedly by a gang of four led by
Pramod of the same locality. The accused is absconding, KR police said.
According to sources, earlier in the day,
Sunil had witnessed a road accident near his locality. A man fell from a moving bike and due to the impact his belongings were strewn around the accident spot. The biker lost his money in the incident. Sunil had accused Pramod's father of taking the money and asked him to return it to the biker. Pramod rushed to the spot and took to argument with Sunil before they dispersed, sources added.
At noon, Pramod came to the playground with four others where Sunil and his friends was playing and murdered him with sharp weapons. KR police are still probing the reason for the murder. DCP (Law and order) M Muthuraju said a probe is under way.
