Diogo Dalot's role at the club has been thrown up in the air, according to the Evening Standard .

It is claimed that the arrival of Aaron Wan-Bissaka has raised questions over the young full-back's position in the first team. It has also been claimed that the club will listen to offers for Marcos Rojo.

US Women's team coach praises Sir Alex Ferguson's influence on Phil Neville

United States manager Jill Ellis said it’s no surprise Phil Neville has been successful managing the Lionesses as he was coached by Sir Alex Ferguson.

“Surprised? No,” Ellis told a news conference when asked for her reaction to Neville’s success ahead of Tuesday World Cup semi-final against England,

“I think if you have pedigree in this game, we’re products of our environment and he obviously had a very good mentor there (at Manchester United) for a while.

“So I’m not surprised and in terms of managing the team I definitely think the team has made strides. You can see they’ve bought in, you can see that they are playing hard and bought in to what he wants them to do. So he’s done a really good job.”

Why Romelu Lukaku's move to Inter Milan is 'unlikely'

The Daily Mail reports that without a big money sale at Inter Milan first a move for Romelu Lukaku is unlikely.

Inter will do all they can to obtain a discount on Lukaku by possibly offering United a player in exchange. Perhaps Ivan Perisic is that man. A move to Old Trafford very much appeals to the Croatian but Conte is wary of taking all the big names out in just one year, the report continues.

Lukaku 'to return from holiday early'

The squad return to training tomorrow after their summer break and The Sun report Lukaku has cut his holiday short in order to return with the rest of the team tomorrow.

The striker’s future is up in the air with the Belgium international keen to make a move to Italy and Inter Milan interested in signing the former Everton man.

And the report claims he will be back at training tomorrow despite not being due back for another week due to his involvement with Belgium earlier in the summer.

They claim he has made the decision to prove a point to Solskjaer about his professionalism so he is not left out in the cold if a deal cannot be agreed with Inter.

United have Ben Yedder deal 'agreed'

Reports in Spain claim Manchester United have ‘everything agreed’ with Sevilla over a proposed move for Wissam Ben Yedder.

La Colina de Nervion suggest that United are lining up the France forward, 28, regardless of what happens with Romelu Lukaku, with the striker scoring 30 goals in all competitions last season.

He of course helped dump United out of the Champions League in 2017/18 when Jose Mourinho was in charge and has also been linked with PSG and Barcelona.

Lukaku is continuing to disrespect Man United

It’s a sign of how low Manchester United have sunk in recent years that a player of Romelu Lukaku’s calibre is eager to edge his way towards the exit door.

Lukaku is a good striker but he is not elite level and would not have been a starter in any of Sir Alex Ferguson’s Premier League sides.

Wan-Bissaka's biggest challenge?

Former Man City and Leeds United defender Danny Mills isn’t the most popular figure with United fans due to those past connections, but as a pundit he’s now highlighted the biggest challenge facing Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

This is what Mills told Sky Sports about the new arrival from Crystal Palace:

“The biggest problem he is going to have is that jump up in expectation.

“At Crystal Palace he wasn’t a superstar but he was a big player within their squad and their team.

“He now moves to Manchester United, one of the biggest clubs in the world. The level of expectancy and quality week in week out is high.

“When Rio Ferdinand went to Manchester United from Leeds he said it was another level there, and we’d finished in the top three and made the semi-finals of the Champions League.

“Manchester United is another level in terms of expectations from fans and the media. It’s a question of whether he can handle it mentally.”

The two Dutch strikers only won one Premier League title apiece at Old Trafford, while Rooney enjoyed five league successes, as well as three League Cups and victory in the 2008 Champions League.
