TN woman found dead with head crushed

MADURAI: A 65-year-old woman was found dead in front of her elder son’s home at Vaiyampatti near Madurai on Saturday morning with her head crushed with a boulder.
The deceased has been identified as P Rajammal, 65. Police said Rajammal had four children. She was staying with her elder son at Vaiyampatti.
Rajammal was sleeping outside the house when she was murdered. The motive of the murder was not clear as the gold ornaments she was wearing were not stolen.
Police said some villagers saw a man running through the village at night. They suspect that she might have been murdered by a psychopath.
The body was shifted to the Thirumangalam Government Hospital for postmortem. The Thirumangalam town police registered a case.
