GURUGRAM: Two youths, who were asked to stop while trying to flee without paying the toll fee, rammed their car into a toll official and dragged him on the bonnet for around 200 metres at Kherki Daula on Thursday afternoon. The two accused, who were in a Honda City car, was later arrested. The duo will be produced in a city court on Friday.
Around 12.30pm on Thursday, official spokesperson of the toll authorities Kripal Singh tried to stop a car when the occupants made an attempt to flee without paying the toll. The youth who was driving it didn’t stop the car. The incident which happened a week after the attack on a woman employee, has led to a massive uproar among toll workers.
According to police, a Black Honda City going towards Gurugram came at the lane number 19 and the occupants claimed they were locals. They demanded exemption from paying the toll fee. The woman toll employee asked for the car’s RC or the driver’s DL to prove the same but they refused to provide the same. Meanwhile, one of the youths got down and lifted the boom barrier. It was then that Kripal along with two employees came there trying to stop them, but the driver sped car and hit the official. The footage of the entire act went viral.
The toll authorities immediately informed police, and Kripal filed a complaint in which he mentioned the registration number of car as HR 26 CG 1133. As per the complaint, an FIR was registered against the two under sections 307 (murder attempt), 34 (common intention) of IPC at Kherki Daula police station.
During the preliminary investigation, police found that the accused are residents of Rampura village. Police nabbed the duo and took them to police station, where many villagers had gathered trying to resolve the matter. However, the two were arrested later.

“The two youths — Tushar alias Tinku (20) and Pramod (34) — are students. While Tinku is a student of Amity University in Pachgaon, Pramod is a student of BA final year of DSD collage in Gurugram. We have also taken the car into custody,” said inspector Kuldeep Singh, SHO of Kherki Daula police station.
Pramod was sitting in the passenger’s seat in the front while his friend Tinku was driving his car. Pramod got down from the car and lifted the boom barrier.
