NOIDA: Residents of several sectors have demanded a fuel station for half-a-dozen sectors in the area which do not have the facility. The nearest petrol pumps are about 5 km away and located near Hoshiarpur in Sector 51 and near Sai temple in Sector 52.
Residents wrote to the chief architect planner (CAP) and Noida Authority CEO on Thursday to allot land for a fuel station in the area allotted for commercial facility such as shops, schools Mother Dairy etc. on Sector 76-77 road connecting with Sector 78.
A fuel station in the area is required as about 3 lakh residents live in many highrise apartments in these sectors. Also, the launch of Aqua Line has added to traffic pressure in the area, the residents said.

“There’s no fuel station for half a dozen sectors like 74, 75, 76, 77, 78 and 79, which creates a lot of problems during emergeny situations,” said Devender Singh, a resident of Sector 76.
Another resident of Sector 77, Amit Gupta said, “If the land is allotted, we’ll request petroleum companies to provide a fuel station here.”
