CHANDIGARH: Miscreants broke into the house of a high court employee and made off with cash, gold and silver
jewellery on Wednesday. Sector 34 police have registered a burglary case and started probe.
In his complaint, Surinder Singh of Sector 45-C reported that he and his wife returned from work around 5.30pm on Wednesday, they found their main door broken into. The inside of the house was ransacked and a jewellery box and Rs 32,000 cash were missing from the almirah. The complaint said the jewellery box was containing one gold kara, six gold
rings, four pairs of gold earrings, five silver coins, two silver anklets and two wrist watches.
On informing the cops, the latter reached the spot along with a
dog squad and forensics team. After examining the crime scene, Sector 34 police registered a case against unknown persons. The cops are now checking the CCTV footage of the area to gather clues on the suspects.
