SWANSEA — The Swansea Police Department Adopt A Cop Program in coordination with The Ice Cream Barn are pleased to announce the winners of the Seventh Annual Name the Flavor Ice Cream Contest.

The contest is open to all Swansea students in pre-kindergarten through grade two. The winning flavor this year was created by Hoyle School kindergartener Landen Fidalgo. His creation ‘Cereal Milk Lucky Charms’ combined his favorite foods- Lucky Charms and ice cream.

The runners-up were Hoyle School kindergartener Christina Thomas and her creation of ‘Maple Crunch,’ which combined a maple base ice cream and Cracker Jack, and Gardner School student Brodey Gaspar and his creation of Swansea Minty Cream which combined chocolate ice cream base with mint Oreo cookies.

Each student received a pint of their ice cream to take home. The winning flavors will be sold throughout the summer at The Ice Cream Barn, located at 289 Locust St. in Swansea. Each student participant received a certificate for a free kid’s cone for their help in making this another successful event.
