IMD Goa issues orange alert to state

PANAJI:Following the incessant rains that have lashed parts of Goa today, IMD has issued a change in the alert going from yellow to orange for Wednesday, June 26.
They had earlier issued an orange alert only for June 27to 29.
Warning colour codes indicate that Orange stands for 'Alert' (Be prepared) while Yellow stands for 'Watch' (Be updated).
The IMD Goa also issued an advisory on Wednesday saying, “In view of intense rainfall forecast, people are advised to abstain from outdoor activities as much as possible during the period of very heavy rainfall
