The vitriol that exists between parties needs to be set aside immediately and requires bipartisan action to allocate more resources in terms of people, money, and health care workers.

Two articles in the June 25 edition of The Herald News exemplify this “blame game.” James Downie says, "Yet if these victims were white, I suspect the vice president and the entire Trump administration would find the problem a whole lot more urgent.” Eugene Robinson says, “A president who panders to his base by seizing billions of dollars from the programs to build a 'big, beautiful wall' also panders to his base by cruelly treating brown-skinned migrant children like subhumans.”

Political opinions. People don’t want to hear this stuff.

The election is 17 months away. The border crisis is now. Elected officials: Do your job first and the vitriolic campaigning second. No wonder there is so much support for “outsiders” at the ballot box!
