Jeep has launched the much awaited off road version of the Compass, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk edition in India at price of Rs 26.8 (Ex-Showroom, India). This is the first ever Jeep Compas comes with a BS6 2.0-litre diesel engine with a 9-speed AT. It attracts a premium of Rs 3.69 lakh over the Limited Plus diesel 4X4, which is priced at Rs 23.11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). 

The new Jeep Compass Trailhawk gets some additiona features and also missed out some. Trailhawk gets reworked bumpers to aid approach and departure angles, raised ground clearance, improved water wading capacity and new 17-inch alloys, replacing the 18-inch units on the Limited Plus variant for better off-roading. It also misses out on powered driver seat, auto headlamps and auto wipers compared to Compass Limited Plus. Apart from these changes, remaining everything identical to existing Compas on both interior and exterior.

Mechanically, this model remains the same 2.0-litre diesel engine, but in a BS6 norms. This engine engine making over 173PS of power and 350Nm of torque. The power from this engine is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox and advanced version of the Jeep four-wheel-drive system compared to the existing 4x4 manual model.
