RailTel implements e-office at NAIR, 6 training institutes

e-office inaugurated in Vadodara on Wednesday
Vadodara: RailTel, a mini ratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways has implemented e-office at the National Academy of Indian Railways (NAIR) in Vadodara and six other central training institutes.
e-office is a cloud enabled software that is deployed/hosted from RailTel’s tier III certified data centres at Secundrabad and Gurgaon.
The six central training institutes (CTIs) where e-office has been implemented along with NAIR include the Indian Railways Institute of Civil Engineering, Indian Railways Institute of Electrical Engineering, Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Indian Railways Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecom, Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management and Railway Protection Force Academy. Pradeep Kumar, director general of NAIR inaugurated the e-office system at NAIR in presence of respective directors, CMD of RailTel and other senior officials. The system will enable paperless working in these institutes.
According to officials, this will help take a giant leap towards shift from manual filing system to e-office in day to day activities, bring transparency and efficiency in functioning.

“This will also promote green way of working by introducing paperless work culture in these seven institutes,” an official of RailTel said.
RailTel has taken up the work of implementing e-office system for Indian Railways. It is a mission mode project under the national e-governance programme of Government of India aimed to usher in more efficient, effective and transparent inter-government and intra-government transactions and processes.
