Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed confidence that former
finance minister
Arun Jaitley will be back in Parliament soon.
While participating in the debate on the motion of thanks to the President’s address, Modi recalled the oratorical skills of Jaitley who served, first, as leader of opposition and, later, as leader of the House in
Rajya Sabha. “We always looked forward to listening to Arun Jaitley in all the sessions. We miss him this time as he is recovering from a health condition but I am confident that we will have the privilege of hearing him again soon,” the PM said.
Jaitley had requested Modi not to include him in the cabinet because of health reasons
