Jeep Compass Trailhawk – What you need to know
The Compass Trailhawk is powered by a 2.0 litre BS VI turbodiesel engine that delivers 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. For those who wanted a diesel automatic, the Trailhawk addresses their need with a 9-speed automatic as standard.
Key features include advanced cruise control, hill descent control, Jeep Active 4×4 Low for extreme off-road conditions, multiple terrain modes that include Rock, Auto, Snow, Mud and Sand, built-in navigation and engine start/stop. In terms of convenience, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk gets a 7-inch touchscreen for vital information and is finished in a plush black and red theme which looks rather good!
It is a fun vehicle to drive both on and off road, and it goes without saying that since it does get that coveted Trail Rated certification, it can deliver the goods in extreme conditions as well. Water wading height has been increased to 840mm and you get complete underbody protection with multiple skip plates to protect vital bits. Add to that, Jeep has revised the front and rear bumpers and increased the ride height by 30mm in order to give the Compass fantastic approach and departure angles.
