PANCHKULA: An 11-year old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted while her mother beaten up in their house in Pinjore, police said on Monday.

The Pinjore village resident said she had gone to take a bath, while her two daughters aged 11-year old and five-year old, were watching television when the doorbell rang. When the elder daughter opened the door, four persons identified as Bhanu, Naveen, Kalia and Ravi, barged inside. As her daughter started screaming, she came out to find the three accused carrying her daughter and another touching her inappropriately. When she tried to save her, they allegedly assaulted her. She shouted for help, leading to neighbours rushing to her house. The accused fled but threatened to force them into flesh trade, the woman alleged.
Police registered a case under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 354-B (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe) of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) and Section 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act at the Pinjore police station and started investigation. Assistant sub-inspector Anant Kumar, the investigating officer, said the accused would be arrested soon.
