Haryana Jail Minister supports Ram Rahim’s parole application

Haryana Jail Minister Krishan Lal Panwar defends government’s move on rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s parole. He said the decision has nothing to do with upcoming assembly election in Haryana. While reacting on a question, Krishan Lal Panwar said, “Don’t link it (Ram Rahim’s parole) with election. If there would have any electoral agenda hidden behind this then we would have had done this before the Lok Sabha elections itself.” “Every convict has a right to seek parole after a year, he made a request which we forwarded to the Sirsa district administration. Further action will be taken based on report.”
