Interview list to be out tomorrow

St. Stephen’s College released the first cut-off list for 400 seats in the institute on Monday evening.

The college has a separate entrance process compared to other Delhi University colleges, which includes an interview and an aptitude test. While 85% weightage is given to an applicants’ marks, 10% is for the interview and 5% for test. The list of interviewees will be released on Wednesday. The interviews will be conducted starting Friday.

The college received the highest number of applications for its B.A. English (Hons). For admission in this course, students in the general category need to have scored at least 98.75% in board examinations if they belong to the commerce or science stream and 98.25% if they belong to humanities.

For B.A. economics, students from the commerce and science streams require 98.75% while those from humanities require 98.5%. Additionally, students should have a minimum of 92% in mathematics. For B.A. programme, the cut-off for students from commerce and science streams is 98% while it is 96.5% for those from humanities.

The cut-off for students belonging to the Church of North India, which runs the college, is significantly lower. The college received 19,862 applications out of which 59.2% were from women.
