Tamil Nadu social defence dept invites applications to fill vacancies in 181 women helpline

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu social defence department has invited applications to fill vacant posts in the new women helpline.
The Union women and child development ministry started this 24/7 helpline (181) to provide immediate response to women affected by violence and information about women-related government schemes.
A team of 10 employees are to be deployed at this helpline centre on a contract basis, according to an official notification.
They include five call responders, a shift manager, a communication officer, an evaluation officer, an evaluation researcher and a helpline coordinator.

The applications should be submitted on or before July 10.
A selection committee would shortlist qualified candidates who will be later called for an interview.
