GURUGRAM: A 16-year-old girl died after falling from the seventh floor of City Court building in DLF 1 on Monday evening. She had gone to the building to meet her sister who works at a restaurant there.
According to police, initial investigation revealed that the girl was under stress due to some personal or family issue, about which she had gone to discuss it with her sister.
“The family members have not filed any complaint in the case,” a police officer said. The victim was a native of Madhubani district in Bihar and was staying with her elder sister and brother in a rented house in Nathupur area.
She was a Class 8 student. Her brother worked as a security guard, while the elder sister worked in a restaurant in the City Court building.
On Monday evening, the girl went to the City Court to meet her elder sister, but later she went to the seventh floor of the building and jumped from there, police said.

After receiving information, a police team, from DLF 1 police station, rushed to the spot. They took the body in its possession.
The body was sent for a post-mortem. “It is a case of suicide and statements have been recorded under Section 164 of CrPC,” said police spokesperson Subhash Boken.
