Sola minor raped, filmed, threatened

AHMEDABAD: Sola High Court police on Saturday evening registered a case of rape against a 23-year-old man for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl and filming her obscene videos for last six months.
The victim’s parents on Saturday filed an FIR against the accused — Rohit Sharma, a resident of Adyashakti Society near Chandlodia lake.
The FIR states that the accused had six months ago raped her at her home when she was alone. Later on, as and when he knew that the girl was alone, he used to come at her home and raped her. Each and every time, he used to film the act against knowledge of the minor victim.
Later, he began threatening her to make her obscene videos viral if she does not succumb to his demands. The girl was so traumatized with Sharma’s illicit demands that once she even tried to take poison, said the FIR.
A police official said that the accused had befriended the girl around eight months ago. Since then, he had raped her repeatedly by threatening to make her videos viral. As she was fed up with his demands, she told her parents about her ordeal who filed the complaint.
Sola High Court Police have registered an FIR of rape and criminal intimidation along with charges of POSCO (Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences) Act.
