Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palanisamy has raised concerns of the construction of the Mekedatu Dam by the Karnataka Government.

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ,requesting him to reject Karnataka's project report on the construction of Mekedatu dam and to also deny a project an environmental clearance.
The letter further stated that Tamil Nadu's concerns had to heeded to before coming to a conclusion on the construction of the dam.
TN CM griped the riparian Cauvery delta districts will be worst hit with the construction of the dam.
