The branch manager of Tiruppur-II Branch of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC), Coimbatore Division, who wrote the handwritten ‘circular’ asking conductors to not accept ₹ 10 coins, was placed under suspension on Monday.
In a press release, Anbu Abraham, Managing Director of TNSTC, Coimbatore Division, said that N. Dhanapal, the branch manager, acted unilaterally without any consent from the management thereby bringing disrepute to the Corporation. The ‘circular,’ which went viral on social media, remains cancelled, according to the release.
