TO THE EDITOR:
Here's a typical "insider" evaluation of Fiat. Their cute little cars are just that, cute. They live about 40,000 miles before they have to be replaced. In the meantime, they require 10 to 20 repairs before they die. I owned one, and all those I know that owned one say the same thing: "Never again" will I own a Fiat. My suggestion is that Fiat, and Chrysler for that matter, purchase Toyotas and put a cute body on them. They will look cute and last more than two years.
