AICC in-charge for Telangana, R.C. Khuntia, reminded ‘rebel’ MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy of the opportunities given to him and his family members by the party and said he should have no reason to complain.

At a press conference here, Mr. Khuntia said that disciplinary action would be initiated against him for attacking the party despite benefiting politically. Taking a dig at the defected MLAs as well, he said it is strange that they didn’t find any problem with the State leadership when they sought party tickets during the elections.

Mr. Khuntia ruled out the change in the leadership and said Mr. Uttam Kumar Reddy will continue as the TPCC president and the party would fight the municipal elections under his leadership. The party will hold the TPCC executive meeting at Nagarjunasagar on June 29 to discuss party affairs and also the strategy for the municipal elections.

The party would also soon organise district and block-level meetings every month to energise the cadre and give them a direction to fight against the ruling party’s anti-people decisions. The meeting of the newly elected ZPTC and MPTC candidates from the party will be held in July to discuss organisation issues.

Mr. Khuntia said that the TPCC strongly feels Mr. Rahul Gandhi should withdraw his resignation as the AICC president as he had done a good job ever since he took over. The party also passed a resolution appreciating Mr. Gandhi’s work and the demand for the withdrawal of his resignation.
