TAPMI kicks off academic year of four batches of current academic year

MANIPAL: T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) kicked off new academic year with the induction of 37th batch of PGDM, sixth batch of PGDM - banking and financial services (BKFS), second batch of PGDM - Human Resources and first batch of PGDM- marketing and sales management. TAPMI's director Madhu Veeraraghavan who welcomed the batch exhorted them to keep the flag of academic excellence of TAMPI flying high.
"I would like to highlight the institution's reinvigorated aim to strengthen its connect with the industry even further, through the course of the programme. The induction exemplifies our approach, as some of the institution's most notable alumni connect with the incoming students to orient them to the latest and emerging trends in the industry. This is the first step towards creating future-ready business leaders," Madhu told the new batch.
Aditya Mohan Jadhav, admissions chair in highlighting the profile of the batch of 2019-2021, said the 482-strong batch with an average Common Admission Test (CAT) score at 90 percentile has students from diverse educational backgrounds with representation from 26 states. The percentage of women students in current batch is 38% in a trend of women too taking up to management courses as career option in a big way, he said.
Rima S Naware, director (HR), Inventivo India and fellow TAPMI alumna shared her experience at TAPMI by summarizing it into seven P's: preparedness, perseverance, positivity, poignancy, packaging, patterns and peculiarities and partnership. Priyanka Neogi, vice president - digital transformation projects, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Mumbai, chief guest, advised the students to be fearless of failing, to embrace differences and diversity.
The program included an orientation session with the parents, wherein Madhu Veeraraghavan along with faculty members interacted with the families of students detailing the program and campus facilities among others. The new batch will undergo a week-long induction, which includes programmes such as meditation by the Art of Living, professional courtesies and socializing etiquettes and yoga, a TAPMI communique on Monday stated.
The two-day induction ended on Monday, June 24.
