DU Admission 2019: St. Stephen's College to release interview cut-off list shortly

NEW DELHI: The St. Stephen's College is going to release the interview cut-off list for admission to several undergraduate (UG) courses for year 2019-20 today.
Candidates, who have filled up the application form online for seeking admission in St. Stephen's College, can check the cut-off list online on the official website - https://www.ststephens.edu.
The college to publish the minimum eligibility criteria to qualify for the interview for admission to several U-G courses online around 8:00 pm today.
Important Dates for UG Admission 2019-20
The college follows a different system for admission than that of the rest of Delhi University colleges, in which applicants are short-listed for an interview.
The weightage for admissions will be
Candidates will be shortlisted for the written exam and the interviews in the ratio of 1:4 approximately for humanities and 1: 6 approximately, for Science subjects (for Christian candidates it shall be in the ration 1:6 and 1:8 respectively). The cutoffs for each of the courses shall be determined by the Principal accordingly. The Principal, if he deems it necessary, may adjust these ratios, provided that the departments concerned make a compelling case for doing so. The decision of the Principal shall be final in this regard.
Admissions from the Sports category will be 5per cent (or 21 seats) of the sanctioned seats.
The composite merit of the Sports candidate, on the basis of which they shall be admitted comprises the following weightage:
1) Merit in sports (college trials 20 per cent and certificates 30 per cent) 50 per cent
2) Class XII marks (BFS/PCM) 40 per cent
3) Interview 10 per cent
Admission is given on the basis of the candidate's academic record and performance at the aptitude test and the interview (that is, composite merit). The previous academic record should be of a very high quality.
The college admits students only to the first year of the courses of study offered. Migration from other institutions is not allowed at any stage.
