BSP chief
Mayawati told party leaders on Sunday that SP chief
Akhilesh Yadav didn't call her up after the alliance’s poor performance in the
Lok Sabha polls. A senior leader who attended the meeting convened by Mayawati quoted her as saying that despite BSP general secretary
Satish Mishra advising Akhilesh to call her up after the alliance lost in UP, the SP chief didn’t heed the advice. In contrast, Mayawati said she was “very upset” after Dimple and Dharmendra Yadav lost and as an elder, she called up Akhilesh to express her “sympathy”.
Mayawati also revealed that on June 3, when she announced to end the alliance with SP, Akhilesh called up Mishra and not her. She was upset that no action was taken against those concerned after BSP candidate lost from Salempur, constituency of SP legislature party chief Ram Govind Chaudhary,” he said.
