NEW DELHI: Two brothers have been arrested for allegedly raping a 22-year-old woman and kept her captive for four days in their house in south Delhi’s Amar Colony. The woman managed to escape from the house and contacted the cops.
Police said that the accused have been identified as Bharat and Shatrughan and a case of gang rape, unnatural sex and criminal intimidation has been registered against them at Amar Colony police station.
As per the survivor’s statement, she recently came to Delhi last week from Kanpur and started looking for work. She went to a tea stall in Lajpat Nagar where a woman promised to get her work as a domestic help in nearby houses.
But instead of getting a job, the survivor was allegedly raped by the two sons of the vendor. However, one day when both of them were sleeping, the woman managed to escape. The survivor was taken to a hospital for a medical examination where sexual assault was confirmed.
