CHENNAI: Indian Aces, a collective of asexual folk, will host the “Chennai
Gender,
Sexuality and
Asexuality Festival” here from June 29 to July 7. The collective has conducted events and presentations across the world as well as in Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Pune.
The festival, to be conducted with support from the PlanetRomeo foundation, will offer Chennaiites an opportunity to understand and engaging issues related to the LGBTQIA++ community. All the events will be facilitated by Pragati Singh, founder of Indian Aces.
Events include an interactive workshop on the foundational concepts of sex, gender, sexuality, and the alphabet soup; PLatonicity, a speed dating /meetup for all genders looking for non-sexual relationships, regardless of reasons and orientations; and Sexuality & Asexuality 101 workshop, a highly interactive session to understand a ground-breaking new model of human sexuality and its nuances. Counselling sessions can be scheduled on request.
