Kin of the missing man seek transfer of case

GREATER NOIDA: The family of the 45-year-old mobile phone distributor from Noida who went missing five days ago has demanded that the case be transferred to crime branch.
Bhupendra Kumar went missing on June 17 and his bike was found the next day.
According to the family members, he had left his office in Sector 10 around 8 PM on Monday. He had also paid around Rs 2 lakhs towards taxes at a Noida-based CA’s office that day.
His wife Rachna told TOI that he was carrying at least Rs 4 lakh. “He had called me around 8 pm when he was leaving office. But later, I found his phone was switched off,” she said.

On Saturday, the family members and some Sector 12 market association representatives protested near the SP (city) office demanding the case be transferred.
Sudha Singh, the SP (city), said: “They have been assured that he would be traced soon.”
