Visakhapatnam: S Nagalakshmi, a 2012 IAS batch officer, is the new chairman and managing director of Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL), Visakhapatnam.The Andhra Pradesh government appointed an IAS officer to the discom, which was hitherto headed by two non-IAS officers under the previous Telugu Desam Party government’s rule.
Nagalakshmi, was the joint collector and additional district magistrate of Prakasam district before being appointed as the discom’s head.
On the other hand, Dr K Srinivasulu, an IAS officer of the 2014 batch, was appointed as the joint collector of Srikakulam district. He was project director of district rural development agency Visakhapatnam prior to being appointed to this post.
