PANAJI: Seniors citizens and handicapped people will have a separate queue this time at the Panaji medicinal plant sale as a respite from the crowds.
Like each year, medicinal plants carried by a special mobile van will be sold at subsidized rates by the state forest department’s medicinal plants board in each taluka at a prominent public place for the rest of the month.

“The dates are yet to be announced but we’ll keep the vehicle stationed in each place for a day. In case more stock of plants is required, we will increase the number for that day in that town,” a forest official said.
For people who miss out on the distribution drive, the forest department will sell medicinal plants at its plant nurseries at Campal in Panaji and Aquem in Margao all July.
