PUNE: Students applying for Undergraduate technical courses are unhappy with state CET Cell's decision asking them to fill up their online application forms for admission again. A circular put up late Thursday night said that the entire process has been scrapped and the process would start afresh from Monday.

The students complained that due to the tardy admission website, they had to spend two to three days filling up form or uploading documents the first time and going through the process again shows the faulty and callous attitude of CET cell.

Adarsh Abhange from Nanded, the student who secured 100 percentile in the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) group said that he had to sit for two days in the SAAR centre to fill up the form. "One day we filled the form and the server hung. So, we came back the next day and had to upload the forms. We thought the hard part was over and were waiting for the next part when we got a message on the registered mobile number that the admission process has been scrapped. Now the students have to go through the entire process which is tiresome," said Abhange.

"The registration for admissions to Professional Technical under graduate courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture and Hotel Management & Catering Technology for the academic year 2019-20 through Setu Assisted Administration Registration (SAAR) portal has been cancelled. The revised details schedule and process shall be notified shortly. The process is likely to start from Monday, 24/06/2019," said Manik Gursal, Commissioner and Competent Authority, State CET Cell via a notification on the State CET Cell's official website on Friday.
