Vivo has launched a new device, the Vivo Y12, priced at Rs 12,490 in India. The device features a dewdrop notch and a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC sits at the heart it. Vivo Y12 comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. On the rear, it features a triple camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor, 8MP wide-angle sensor and finally a 2MP depth camera for bokeh shots. The handset gets a 5000mAh battery and is available in two colours, Burgundy Red and Aqua Blue.

Design

The Vivo Y12 features a 16.15cm (6.35-inch) FullView Display with a 19.3:9 aspect ratio. The device comes with a dewdrop notch giving its a screen-to-body ratio of 89%. Vivo says, the colour shift design on the rear panel is inspired by nature. 

Specs

As mentioned before, the Vivo Y12 runs a Mediatek Helio P22 SoC, which is bassed on a 12nm process. This is coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB of storage. The phone packs a fingerprint sensor which is located on the rear panel. This device features Vivo’s Funtouch OS 9, which is based on Android 9.0. It also has features like 2.4G + 5G Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0.

Camera

This device features a triple camera setup with a 13MP primary camera, 8MP Wide-Angle Camera, and finally a 2MP Depth Camera for portrait shots, while the front features an 8MP sensor for selfies. The Super-Wide-Angle Camera offers a 120° field of view. The front camera features AI Face Beauty, which aims to improve facial features.

The Vivo Y12 gets a dedicated gaming mode, which Vivo calls 'Ultra Game Mode'. This feature allocates system resources to prioritize your game’s performance. There’s an additional mode, called the Dual Turbo,, which claims to smoothen your gaming experience by reducing frame drops.
