LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday directed officials to prepare a list to take action against corrupt and scam-tainted officials in the state government and threatened forced voluntary retirement for the corrupt officials.
Presiding over a review meeting of secretariat administration, Yogi said there was no room for corrupt officials.
As part of his warning, the CM mentioned the arrest of three private secretaries in January this year who were caught in a sting operation demanding bribes to complete routine official tasks.
The CM also said outsiders coming to Vidhan Bhawan, the secretariat and the annexe, should not be allowed to carry mobile phones into the premises. Yogi told officials to get the meeting halls and auditoriums ready in Lok Bhawan and added that they should have names which inspire the public. He also ordered removal of banners, posters and hoardings from the surroundings of Vidhan Bhawan and Lok Bhawan.

Yogi sought information on e-office plan which was conceptualised last year. Additional chief secretary, secretariat administration, Mahesh Gupta told him that 95% of the work in 25 UP departments is being done through e-office. The CM said the scheme should be made applicable in all the departments soon.
Yogi stressed on strengthening the Integrated Grievance Redressal Forum, which he said, should not indicate redressal of problem until it is actually and fully addressed by the department concerned.
