Pradhnesh Mhatre selected for paper presentation at astronautical conference

Pune: Mechanical engineering student of Sinhgad Institute of Technology, Pradhnesh Mhatre, has been selected by International Astronautical Federation (IAF) to present his paper, for both oral and interactive presentation at the 70th annual International Astronautical Conference (IAC 2019). Hosted by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the conference will be held in Washington DC, United States of America, from October 21 to 25, 2019. This conference will witness the gathering of all space players who will discuss the advancement and progress of space in various features.


This year the IAC will commemorate the “one giant leap for mankind” – the 50 th Anniversary of the feat when Neil Armstrong, Apollo 11 Commander walked on the Moon in July 1969, accompanied by co-astronaut Edwin ‘Buzz’ Aldrin, said a statement issued by Singad Institute.


Pradhnesh and his team submitted two research paper abstracts under guidance of Pranit Patil. Competing with a record number of abstracts from more than 4320 applications from around 86 countries across the globe, the paper submitted by Pradhnesh was selected for both oral and interactive presentation.


The IAC Technical Programme is the foundation of each International Astronautical Congress (IAC), reflecting ongoing development in the areas of space science, technology and its societal aspects.
