Freedom Front Plus leader Pieter Groenewald was not overly impressed with President Cyril Ramaphosa's lofty ambitions during his State of the Nation Address.

"The president has got a very nice dream, but unfortunately when he wakes up he'll find out it's a nightmare," he said.

"It's a very good wishlist, but it's not something new."
