Rasika Dugal to play Naseeruddin’s daughter

Rasika Dugal, who is enjoying the success of her recently released web series Delhi crime and Humorously Yours season 2, is all set to play yet another interesting character in an upcoming short film.

The actor will be seen sharing screen with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah in a short film, the story of which revolves around a father-daughter relationship. They started shooting for it on June 16 in Mumbai suburbs.

A source informed, “Naseeruddin and Rasika’s chemistry as father-daughter is something to look out for. Both the actors not only enjoyed working on the project together but also bonded well while shooting for it .”

The short film directed by National  Film Award-winning director Kaushal Oza, is slated to release by the end of the year.

Rasika said, “Naseer sir had taught me while I was a student at FTII. Anything I know about acting is  because of him. He is as good a teacher as he is an actor. He drew my attention to some very fundamental things without which my journey as an actor would have been very uninteresting. I will be forever grateful for that knowledge. During the last 10 years, I have always kept in mind and put to use what he had shared with me. So he has been more a part of my journey than he knows. I had been waiting eagerly for an opportunity to work with him. This one is a check on my bucket list.”
