IndyCar’s REV Group GP at Road America – facts and figures

Track: 4.014-mile road course near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
Race distance: 55 laps / 220.77 miles
Push-to-pass parameters: 200 seconds with a maximum single duration of 20sec
Firestone tires per entry: Eight sets primaries, four sets of alternates. Teams must use one set of primary and one set of alternate tires for at least two laps in the race.
2018 race winner: Josef Newgarden (Team Penske-Chevrolet).
Newgarden, Scott Dixon in 2017 (Chip Ganassi Racing-Honda), Will Power in ’16 (Penske-Chevrolet) and Sebastien Bourdais in ’07 (Newman/Haas-Cosworth) are the only drivers in this year’s race who have won at Road America.
Mario Andretti, Michael Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi have each won the Indy car race three times, although Andretti also won twice when the premier open-wheel race at Road America was Formula 5000.
2018 pole winner: Newgarden, 1min43.2026sec, 140.020mph.
Of the active drivers, Bourdais holds the most poles here (two – 2004 and ’07), with Power taking pole in ’16, and Newgarden last year. The record number of Indy car poles here is held by Danny Sullivan (four), but Mario Andretti has also scored four – two in Formula 5000 and two in Indy cars.
